As part of the Edge leadership programme, in late 2009 we carefully selected a small group of young people to undergo leadership sessions. We call this group 'Emerging Leaders'.

They went through a 6 month programme in which senior leadership in church did teaching with them based on leadership principles. Many of the sessions were interactive & practical. Each emerging leader had assesments and monthly homework.

They were also invited to preach on a sunday morning for 10 minutes, which they all did brilliantly, as well as doing 'giving' talks on a Sunday morning.

The emerging leaders programme is ongoing with each leader being given opportunities to serve in the church in the future. We hope to form another group later this year to give opportunity to more people for leadership training & development.
